To support- in this image, the coin is suspended over an edge. Because of its raw material, it is strong enough to hold itself up. The coin is supporting itself rather than drooping over the edge.
To erase- I used every cleaning substance I could find in my home to clean one side of the coin. By doing this I erase the coins dirts, Grimes, and filth in which made up its history.
To match- Coins are different everywhere. With all their differences, U.S. coins have difference significance. I matched these coins and by doing so, I doubled their value.
To gather- One penny can be considered nearly useless, while a million pennies can be a huge prize. A coin's value can vary from perspective.
To fire - I experimented by lighting the coin, which obviously didn't catch fire. The coin became warm and had a bit of a burned side. With out the proper tools, coins will not be burned into their original state.
To collect- the world is a place where collecting money is crucial. Most people spend every moment looking towards the next collection of money they have.
To grasp- Many people hold on to their money very tight, some are loose with it. There can be many different types of people according to money and in society these days, it can change their personality.

My art consists of bright and delightful colors and shapes that sometimes dig deep into a sad or desperate meaning. I work very abstractly as an artist with just a touch of realism. At a young age I was introduced to drawing as a way to help with my anxiety disorder. Time went on and drawing developed into trying different media. I became very fond of painting and found that it was the thing that made me happiest in a very dark world. The anxiety that takes over my life is now dampened by the wet blanket art has provided me. As someone who deals with this endless cycle I have tried every trick in the book in hopes of living a freer life. Journaling, or writing in a diary has been suggested by nearly every person hoping to hand out advice.Yes, I have tried writing down notes, feelings, moments of my day. No, it didn't cater to me or help with the way my brain works. It felt more like a task than a freeing outlet. So I continued painting. My artwork serves as a diary to me. Each painting/piece has a hidden meaning or specific shapes and colors that mean something to me. Only I get to know the secrets and messages behind my public works. There is a feeling of comfort in security feeling certain in a world with such little certainty. My art is my diary.
